Importance of Self Confidence

Being self confident is key in so many areas of your life, it's important that you feel good and confident within yourself because this will radiate from you organically, without effort. 

Accept Your Authentic Self

This must be all inclusive. We all have things that we are good at and things we are not so good at, you must accept it all, this is the key to self confidence.

Building Confidence

There are things that you can do to build yourself confidence and it begins with accepting your authentic self. Once you accept your authentic self, confidence comes naturally. The goal is to get to a place where you don't even think about confidence anymore.

Build on Your Strengths

It is important to know your strengths and acknowledge them to yourself. These strengths should be the things you focus on when building self confidence. These strengths are part of your fundamental personality and they are part of what makes you who you are and by focusing on them, you are reminding yourself that you are great and these strengths make you even greater.

Don't Compare Yourself to Others

Keep your focus on you because you are  the CEO of your life and you are the only person you have control over so this is where you need to keep your focus.  If you focus on other people, you are devaluing yourself and this has no benefit to you. People who accept themselves don't pay attention to what others are doing because they are focused on the most important person in their life, themselves. 

Simple Exercises to Build Self Confidence

Sometimes we are our own worst critics instead of being our biggest cheerleader and it's important to recognize the strengths you have. This is a simple task and it only requires a pen, paper, and an honest look within yourself. By writing these things out, it resonates differently in your brain and then reading it aloud strengthens the message.

Write three strengths that you have at work. If you are not working, add strengths in doing things around the house using the sentence from day 1 and add these to the previous list.

Add these to the previous list and read aloud every day

Add these to the previous list and read the list aloud every day
